This artifact demonstrates skills in the use of data management software to analyze a given problem. MySQL Workbench is a graphical user interface tool that allows users to design, create and browse database schemas, work with database objects and insert data as well as design and run SQL queries to work with stored data. The practice was helpful in providing knowledge about additional tools that can be used to manage data that can be used to evaluate a problem.
Utilizing the Analysis ToolPak Add-in in Microsoft Excel this artifact demonstrates an understanding in multiple regression calculations, concepts, and application. Multiple regression is used to estimate the relationship between two or more independent variables and one dependent variable. In this lab I utilized a supplied data file to perform calculations and analyze the statistical results.
This artifact demonstrates proper techniques for gathering, formatting, and storing data to investigate a given question or problem as well as demonstrating skills in the use of data management software such as Microsoft Access. Acting as a database administrator, I used this report to define and identify the components to a hospital database and provides recommended improvements. This practice provided me with the building blocks to perform more complex queries later in the program.
