The paper titled “Cyber Threats and Mitigation Strategies” demonstrates knowledge of Privacy and security of Protected Health Information (PHI) and articulating tools to evaluate both human and technology systems. This paper allowed me to gain an understanding of potential cyber threats that a physician’s office can encounter and the mitigation strategies that can be used during the risk management approach. I also learned the roles of the team members responsible for overseeing the process, as well as understand the relationships between the various teams involved. This introduction facilitated in performing the audits performed in the mock Cyber Security Risk Assessment Report that was conducted for Waverly Family Health Services.
Utilizing Ebener and Smith’s eight step strategic planning process, this artifact demonstrates an understanding of how to articulate methods for design of quality programs or performance improvement programs. Acting as an external facilitator I created a strategic plan designed for Shriner’s Hospitals for Children- Northern California (SHCNC) where an extensive business review was performed in order to provide guidance on three areas that SHCNC could improve upon.
This presentation demonstrates the ability to articulate methods for design of quality programs or performance improvement programs as applied to implementation of electronic health records systems, and articulate tools to evaluate both human and technology systems. While this was a team collaboration, each step required each team member to perform the Tableau and Excel calculations and contribute individual visualizations. The purpose of this project was to provide The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) with a recommendation of a quality improvement plan utilizing the HRSA 2019 clinical data. This project combined all skills learned throughout the HCI program such as SQL, statistics, data analytics and management, and strategic planning.
