The healthcare informatics (HCI) program with University of San Diego has prepared me to pursue a career in the field of either healthcare auditing, healthcare quality assurance, or as a certified electronic health records (EHR) end user trainer.  In addition, after graduation, I will be studying to receive my certified professional coding certification with AAPC.
            The HCI program has expanded my analytical skills as well as improved my leadership skills by learning about business proposals and project management. The program also enabled me to learn about structured query language (SQL) and learning how to interpret statistics and interpret statistical analysis.
